On April 14, 2015, about 25 club members of the San Leandro Art Association gathered to watch my demonstration. I painted a scene with sheep grazing among the olive trees of the Castello di Amorosa vineyards. It was an 11 x 14 oil painting. I talked most of the way through the 1 1/2 hour demonstration. I finished about 3/4 of the painting during the demonstration and then completed it in my studio. Here is the finished painting. The photo is also attached. As I mentioned to the club members, an artist must edit the scene as needed to avoid painting unnecessary items and to create an overall more pleasing composition.
