July 28 is the opening of my solo show at Christian Daniels Gallery in San Francisco. I expect to have 20 new oil paintings for this month-long exhibition. Many will be of San Francisco. Today, was a clear and sunny day to spend scouting locations to paint. Being a popular destination, I want to find scenes that have a uniqueness to them. Sometimes, just being patient and taking time to explore different neighborhoods opens up an opportunity that wouldn’t exist without the mileage and patience of exploration. Race to the Top is a 12 x 24 oil painting that captures the feel and mood of San Francisco. I do hope if you are in the San Francisco area between July 28 and August 26 that you will visit my gallery and view these paintings in person.
